The Friends of Colorado State Parks is a statewide coordinating organization supporting and sustaining Friends groups at individual State Parks, and building a network of citizens who work to protect and care for the places in which they play, recreate, and adventure.
We Provide Support for Local Groups
Local Friends’ groups have sprung up around 18 State Parks as independent nonprofits or as affiliates of our statewide organization. The Friends of Colorado State Parks supports and unites these groups in our collective mission to protect and enhance one of Colorado's most important resources.
These 18 dedicated groups promote user engagement at the State Parks, attracting all types of volunteers and donors who work in partnership with each Parks' staff. The success of current groups, and the unmet potential of new and growing groups, to better connect parks with their supporters is substantial.
